Rory Johnson is a member of ICON (The institute of conservation), BAPCR (British association of paintings conservators and restorers) and the IIC (International institute of conservation).
Previous clients range from private collections and individuals through to institutions/historic houses such as; The National Trust, Raby Castle, Lowther Estate, Newcastle University, Tyne and Wear Archives and Museums,.

Jun/July 2012, Dec 2012, Apr 2013 : 'Scottish Wall Paintings'. For a number of years since qualifying I have been fortunate enough to work with 'Scottish Wall Paintings', a private wall paintings conservation business based in Scotland on a number of projects involving the conservation and preservation of wall paintings, ceilings and decorative surfaces.
These projects include;
Newbattle Abbey - Dalkieth,
Private House - Kinross,
Abbotsford House - Galashiels, the ancestral home of Walter Scott.
McEwan Hall - University of Edinburgh.

Jan/Feb 2011: Alnwick Castle, Northumberland: Working with established Paintings Conservator Susan Vietch on the conservation of a number of picture frames and a fireplace in the state dining room of the castle.
